Is Your Husband In The CIA?

Yes, I have been asked this question more than one time in the past month!  Most recently, many of you have asked what Andy is doing in Iraq and I have not had any answers (which have led many of you to wonder if I'm lying or if he is, indeed, in the CIA or what).  Well, he sent me an article today and it answered so many questions for me (not WHY he is there, but WHAT he is doing at least).
(Andy is sitting in these meetings which are being held in Sadam's old palace.  What in the world?!?!) Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki chairs a meeting alongside Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elarabi during the “International Conference in Solidarity with Palestinian and Arab Prisoners and Detainees in the Prisons of the Israeli Occupation” being held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
According to Al Arabiya News:
Iraq hosted an international conference on Israel’s Palestinian and Arab prisoners on Tuesday, the latest in a series of events held in Baghdad as the country seeks to re-emerge on the regional stage.

Talks on Iran’s disputed nuclear program and a summit of Arab leaders were held earlier this year in Iraq, which is still struggling with the impact of decades of violence, war and sanctions.

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad emphasized in remarks to the conference that “achieving our goals” requires the acceleration of inter-Palestinian reconciliation.

Iraqi premier Nuri al-Maliki meanwhile said his country was ready to work to “internationalize the issue of the Palestinian and Arab prisoners and expose ugly practices carried out by the forces of the Israeli occupier”.

The conference, the first of its kind held in Iraq in more than two decades, was attended by Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi and others from more than 70 countries, according to organizers.
Andy was also interviewed by an Iraqi news crew.  They were so excited to talk to any Westerner they could get their cameras on.  I haven't heard any details about that yet.  I can't wait!  Crazy!  What an exciting life he leads.  Oh my!
