The Countdown. . .

Wow! I cannot sleep. Hays cannot sleep. We are going to be worthless before we even get to Rwanda! Yesterday was one week until we leave Durango! Today is one week until we leave the country. Tomorrow is one week until we get to Rwanda. . . .OH MY GOODNESS! I can hardly function at a normal human level!

I'm collecting all kinds of toys and medicines for the orphanage. I'm getting Ruk all ready and packed--clothes (waiting to hear how big his foot is) and stuff to do in the hotel and on the airplane. I've gotten a few games that don't require too much verbal communication so that Hays and Ruk can play together during the days! I'm so excited!

We're getting so excited for you, Jamie Jo! Right now it feels like we will NEVER be going, so we will live vicariously through you.:) Know that we'll be praying for you, Hays, Ruk, and the rest of the family.

Not sure how fast they could mail them to you but this group has collected a ton of croc shoes for Rwanda and they need to send them to traveling families.

Also the last I checked I was told that medications and first aid supplies are currently the primary need at Home of Hope. I wish we new who our kids were so that we could ask traveling families to check in on them :(

Me again! We live in Evans, which is right beside Greeley about one hour north of Denver. My husband and I commute to work in Brighton, a suburb northeast of Denver. We moved here in fall 2003 from Minnesota. My direct email is kneubauerpotthoff@gmail.com Gabby's squinting smile in her pics reminds me so much of my daughter from Ethiopia :)
